Flights to Ohio:
Marietta College is in the beautiful and wonderfully wild southeast corner of Ohio, very near the Wayne National Forest. What we gain in natural majesty, we lose in proximity to major airports.
The closest airport to Marietta College is the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Airport. It is only a few minutes away. If you are flying into the MOV airport, let Joe Sullivan know. He can help with ground transport to the hotel. All flights connect to PKB from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) in North Carolina.
Marietta locals fly in and out of Marietta from Columbus (CMH), Akron-Canton (CAK), Pittsburgh (PIT), Cleveland (CLE) or Charleston, WV (CRW). These airports range from 1.5 to 2.5 hours away by car. If you fly into Columbus, you might be able catch a GoBus to Marietta or Athens. It is a limited schedule.
If you are only able to get to Athens on the GoBus, let Joe Sullivan know and he will work with you to get you the last 45 minutes to Marietta. Other than GoBus, there are no good suggestions for ground transport from these major airports other than a rental car. Fortunately, the drive from all directions is simple, peaceful (except for trucks on I-70), and scenic.
